Table mountain walk

Sunday dawned a glorious day and everyone was very keen to get out into the sunshine, so we headed to Constantia Neck to walk along a jeep trail. Quite hot in the sun, and being as unfit as me the uphill bits (ie the entire stretch until we truned around) was a bit muscle stretching, but great to get out in the fresh air.

Man-eating plants, as my dad likes to call them (carnivorous), always so cool to see on the mountain. The pic below shows the Sundew (actually my work mates photo as mine was as blurry as the one above), which I havn't seen very often. Very cool little plants!

There were these huge golden mushrooms, quite fairyland like. I wonder if Nan saw them on the way down? She was convinced fairies lived in the forest in Knysna and I'm sure these mushrooms would be the local hangout if there are any around!
